ZHARA opened on 28 December 2011 at Baytik Baatyr St 86 in Bishkek. The club remains at that address. This is the story of its opening, identity and stage-show format today.
28 December 2011: the opening date
“Est. 2011” marks the club's opening on 28 December 2011. The fifteenth anniversary falls on 28 December 2026. That date is part of the club's history; it is not an announcement of an anniversary programme. Ask the administrator what is planned if you intend to visit on a particular evening.
One address, two spellings
ZHARA has not moved from Baytik Baatyr St 86. In Russian, the brand is written ЖАRА, with a Latin R. In English, it is ZHARA.
The stage and the house code
At the centre of the evening is a staged dance-theatre show with choreographed numbers. Professional guest service and respect for guests' personal space are part of ZHARA's approach. For the current programme and cast, check with the administrator before you visit.
The entry rules are 21+ · Selective entry · Dress code. The administrator makes the final admission decision at the door.
Before you visit
Tell the administrator your preferred date, approximate arrival time and number of guests. Ask about the programme and conditions for that evening. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking. Wait for the administrator's explicit confirmation of any arrangement.
The anniversary date is a historical milestone, not an event announcement. Ask about the actual programme and conditions for your chosen date.
Start with the ZHARA English home for current contact options. Read the English visiting rules before travelling. The original history in Russian remains available if you prefer it.
